INTERVIEWS

An interview is not considered recoverable data so no entry is needed in the reference list. Cite within the text of your paper as personal communications. (APA manual: Sec. 3.102, p.214). Give the initials as wells as the surname of the communicator and provide as exact a date as possible.

 

Format:

Name of person interviewed (personal communication, date of interview)

Examples:

M.L. Baines (personal communication, March 21, 1999)

J.T. Carpenter (personal communication, May 6, 2002)

 

DVD/VHS

Format:

Producer, P. P. (Producer), & Director, D.D. (Director). (Date of publication). Title of motion picture [Motion picture]. Country of origin: Studio or distributor.

Example:

Weir, P.B. (Producer), & Harrison, B.F. (Director). (1992). Levels of consciousness [Motion picture]. United States: Filmways.
